The Mac Mini is TOTALLY silent, and hardly warm at all.

The fans used to kick in on my Macbook Pro after a while, hissing away, not terribly loud, but annoying in my tiny recording space in a central London flat.

I was using a Macbook Pro 15" intel i.7 16GB whilst setting up the Mac Mini, which took about 2 days+, I didn't bother using Time Machine or anything like that, I just installed Everything from scratch, with the kind help of the guys on this forum,Īnyway, in a nutshell, this is the most powerful, fastest, silent, coolest and cheapest computer I have ever had! No bluetooth issues, as I have heard reported, though the only time I use bluetooth is with a computer keyboard on the other side of my recording room on a stand next to the mic, everything else I use is wired as I try to avoid bluetooth. I use an Apollo 8 and Twin with Pro Tools 2022.7 and Logic 10.7

I read so many conflicting reviews about all the latest computers I finally settled on the Mac Mini M1, 16gb, ITB storage. 3.30am in the morning here in UK, woke up with claustrophobic panic attacks, so I decided to have a herbal tea and write this about my new computer.
